The Author Event committee is working hard to make this year’s scholarship fundraiser a success. Mystery writer Naomi Hirahara will introduce you to an era few people outside of California are familiar with, the Japanese internment during World War II.

If your schedule prevents you from attending the Zoom  presentation, please consider sending a monetary contribution for the scholarships for LBCC and CSULB female students via checks, paypal or Zelle. On checks you may indicate to which College you want your donation directed. Please consider purchasing opportunity draw tickets for a variety of prizes such as Bowers Museum, Musical Theater West, jewelry, books, wine and more. Silent auction baskets feature trip for 2 to the Huntington Museum, the Gardens and lunch with Ginny and Charlotte, a Japanese tea and sake set, an Ireland themed basket as well as a Peter Rabbit basket.

Tune in online between 6 and 9pm on April 1 to preview the
items and plan your bidding! Then starting at 9 am on Saturday April 2, return for the bidding and our speaker at 11 am. All must RSVP in order to receive the zoom link.
